If you weren’t aware, you can request a physical copy of the game from Microsoft.
I bought the LCE and of course wanted a physical copy. But, it is not as easy as you think.
First off, here is the “official” link:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one…
If you were one of the two people who bought the LCE (me included) then you will receive a game download card. Go to the link and you will see some very simple steps:
Note This offer is good from October 20 through November 1, 2015.
Open the Contact Us page.
Select “Chat with Microsoft Support” to chat with a support agent.
Once you’re connected, inform them that you want to exchange your unredeemed digital code for Halo 5: Guardians for a physical disc.
You’ll need to provide the agent with the following information: Your Xbox gamertag Your email address The token’s 25-character code Your address for shipment
You will notice that it is fairly straight forward.
So I headed to work with my receipt (just in case) and the download card. Why work, well cause I have to work and I wasn’t able to do this at home.
What they don’t tell you is that you will need to take a picture of the download card and the receipt together, and ALSO you will need the serial number off your console?! Well thanks Microsoft for your detailed instructions. Thankfully I got the Wife to take a pic of my console that is 51 miles away.
One hour and 3 minutes later (yes, I was counting) I am being sent a physical copy that is estimated to arrive in 3-5 business days. So, I may get it before Tuesday of next week. If I do not I will go and buy another copy to play on launch day.
Yes Halo is that important. But spending $250 on a statue wasn’t. The statue is kind of lame BTW. But the Metal Earth photo-etched model is cool. FYI you get that in the Collector’s Edition ($99).

Lol, I bought it, I have bought them all. It is a vicious marketing ploy that snagged me a long time ago. Even if I don’t want to, I buy it if Halo is on it.
My “Halo Wall” is huge now after 14 years of statues and special editions. Heck, I even have the Halo 2 7-Eleven Slurpee cups, lol.

What about those archaic cans of probably now poisonous Mountain Dew Game Fuel from the Halo 2 & 3 launches.

Yes, I am insane. Yet somehow I have a Wife that supports this odd behavior.
You should see me with cars!

I think it’s just the Metal Cased version I’ll post a pic when I get home from work. I need to dig it out. I haven’t pulled that disk out in years.
